How Does PrivatAI Keep My Data Safe?
The Principle: Less Is More
It's simple! We keep your data safe by not storing it in the first place. Unlike other AI providers, your data only exists with us for the few seconds it takes the AI system to process it. Once the operation is complete, the AI immediately forgets what it saw – it simply has no way to store the data.
The Technical Process
Every time you send a message to our chat AI, the following happens:
- Encryption: Your message is first encrypted on your computer using SSL
- Transmission: The encrypted message is sent to our German servers in Falkenstein
- Processing: Once it arrives at the server, your message is unpacked and fed directly into the neural network
- Computation: The thinking process takes place within the artificial intelligence
- Response: The result is then encrypted and sent back to your computer
- Display: Once it arrives, the message is decrypted and displayed only for you in the chat window

Important: You are responsible for saving the results from your conversation yourself. They disappear forever as soon as you close your browser tab or start a new chat.
